The slow build classic Words from Minnesota’s Low. This is from 1994’s I Could Live in Hope, but Low have been doing this stuff expertly for nearly 30 years (gulp!). Seen them a number of times and they make the hairs on your arms stand up, they have the transition from breathly quiet to manic crazy guitar noise down like no other. What makes it though is Alan and Mimi’s vocals, they mesh to almost one voice – it’s a haunting and beautiful sound. As an added bonus, they wrote one of the great Christmas songs, just for kicks.
